what we've achieved so far...
2004 - 2008
My Dad and older brother raced bikes when I was growing up so I was always in a paddock and watching them race. I rode my 1st bike when I was just under 3 years old when my Dad put stabilisers and a rope tether on a heavily restricted mini-moto. It was a while ago, but I can remember loving it – since then bikes have been my life.
We lived close to an indoor go-kart circuit in Chippenham that ran mini-moto bikes, so I started to ride there regularly on weekends until I was old enough to race. I started racing mini-motos when I was 6 years old and in 3 seasons I had won 3 Championships, which was awesome and gave me lots of confidence in my racing.
Thanks for visiting my website where you can find out more about my racing activities and get to know me better. I hope you enjoy your visit and come back to keep up-to-date on how I’m getting on.
2009 - 2012
In 2009, I started racing a Metrakit 50cc geared bike and finished 4th in NPS Championship. In my 2nd year on the bike I competed in the British Championship and finished 3rd overall. Whilst I didn’t win the championship, I was really happy that I got a few victories and lap records. I loved racing the Metrakit and towards the end of 2010 I got to ride the 70cc version which was ace!
The next 2 seasons I raced on my Metrakit 70cc, first in the 2011 British Championship where I finished as runner up and then in the 2012 Spanish Catalan Championship where I finished 3rd overall. During my time in these championships I feel I grew as a rider as I was pushing myself harder as I was battling against some of the best riders in Europe and winning!
In 2013 I made the step up to a 125cc race bike and competed in the Thundersport Aprilia Superteen Championship.
I worked really hard as I knew
I had to learn the big circuits like Donington and Brands Hatch
on a bigger bike and I was really happy. I was always battling
at the front and finishing in the top 3. At the end of the season
it was good to finish 3rd overall and also win the Nitro Newcomers Championship.
I’m also pretty proud that I
broke 2 lap records that
stood for over 5yrs.
2014 - 2015
During 2014-5 season I rode for Repli-Cast Racing team in the MotoStar Championship and I rode a moto3 bike provided by Scott Redding who is also my mentor. I got more used to the tracks and my confidence grew with each race. Over these two years we developed the bike and made improvements where ever we could with a limited budget. I didn’t get to reach my full potential but it’s all part of the learning curve. These two years have taught me a lot and helped me grow as part of a team and a mature young rider.
The 2016 season has brought us the wonderful opportunity to sign for the 2015 Championship winning team Redline KTM/E3 motorsport. Charlie has achieved the 2016 BSB Motostar Champion!!
